HISTORY
ESC incorporated in San Diego as
a nonprofit organization in 1992 with a desire to affiliate with
40 similar groups around the country in bringing the experience
and skills of retired executives to improve governance and management
in nonprofit and public sector arenas.
Two years later with encouragement from the San Diego Community
Foundation, ESC and the San Diego office of Support Centers of
America, a pioneer in the field of management support for nonprofits,
began discussions about joining forces to provide affordable and
high quality capacity building services to the San Diego nonprofit
community.
A decade later, Nonprofit Management Solutions embodies the best
of both the former ESC and Support Center in a full service, dynamic
training, consulting and information resource celebrating 20 years
of service to community in 2004.
To ensure an increasingly diverse client base access to effective
solutions that fit their unique circumstances and leverage available
resources, NMS has established a family of integrated
program and service divisions.
As our Services Division specializing in serving public sector
clients, Executive Service Corps brings a wealth of talent, experience
and business expertise to the table for work with government departments,
schools and other public sector clientele.
