Grantseeking Resources
NMS programs and services can help you develop and find support for your mission and services during these challenging times – choose from the option that best meets your needs and resources.
NMS Resource Library
“Do-It-Yourself”: Our comprehensive library of books and pamphlets, articles and periodicals includes sections on Grant Resources and Resource Development, including all of the print materials newly available to us as a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center.
Grantseekers can access FC Search, the Foundation Center’s exclusive fully searchable database of more than 80,000 foundation and corporate grantmakers, along with the The Foundation Directory, the National Directory of Corporate Giving, the Foundation 1000, and other funding guides. Grantwriting guides, including our recommended text, Winning Grants Step by Step, are available for purchase or reference in the library.
Grantseeking & Organizational Development Resources orientation workshops are offered regularly (no charge to Sweet Deal participants, $15 to NMS members, $35 for nonmembers). These
2-hour sessions include using research data to find appropriate
grantmakers, a demonstration of FC Search, and tips for
successful communication with grantmakers. Click
here for schedule and registration information.
Individualized Assistance/Consultation:
If you need help with your funding search, we will provide
one-on-one assistance to help you maximize your use of FC Search
and focus your search. If you’d like us to do a search for
you, we can do a customized search from your criteria, using multiple
resources. Results will be provided in print or electronic format.
Fees are on a sliding scale based on membership status and organizational budget.
