course learning objectives
- Differentiate leadership from management, articulating the distinct value each brings to a team.
- Apply Hersey & Blanchard's situational leadership model, matching the appropriate style — directing, coaching, supporting, or delegating — to a team member's competency and commitment.
- Describe the "what" and the "how" of leadership as complementary, multidimensional capabilities.
- Compare three leadership frameworks — Goleman's emotional styles, Hersey & Blanchard's situational model, and Brown's daring leadership — and evaluate the strengths and limitations of each.
- Apply the most appropriate leadership style to realistic workplace scenarios, selecting the tools each situation demands.
